This thesis will investigatethe use of Generative AI (a category of artificial intelligence techniques and models that are designed to generate new content or data that resembles, and often expands upon, the examples it was trained on) on honeypots in energy Operational Technology. Honey pots, decoy systems designed to lure potential attackers and gather information about their methods and motivations, will be experimented with Generative AI frameworks, and set up and configured in a controlled environment to understand their deployment and operation.
