The proposed research seeks to conduct a comprehensive exploration of self-healing mechanisms in low voltage grids, focusing on innovative approaches to enhance grid resilience and reliability. The research will investigate various self-healing techniques such as fault detection, isolation, and restoration (FDIR), advanced monitoring and control systems, distributed energy resources integration, and autonomous grid operation. Key objectives include analysing the effectiveness of self-healing mechanisms in mitigating grid disturbances, optimizing fault recovery times, and improving overall grid performance. Through simulation, experimentation, and real-world case studies, this study aims to provide valuable insights for the development of resilient low voltage grids capable of self-diagnosis and rapid recovery from disruptions.
